Slowly Updating my Blog Pages (+ a giveaway)

When I had my blog makeover, you may have noticed that I added a few pages at the top of my blog-- Home, About Me, Freebies, and Disclosures.  I finally added a small blurb about myself in the About Me page but I hope to add more information and better pictures when I move to China in about a month.  In my Freebies page, it is still "under construction", I'm trying to figure out the best layout to feature all of my freebies.  Hopefully, I can get that done soon.

The weeks have been busy and my brain is fried from thinking too much about how am I going to pack my life into a suitcase and take it to China and my new Kindergarten class I get to teach overseas!

Don't forget to check out my awesome giveaway!!  Since I got a new teaching job overseas at an international school, I am going to give away my Chinese New Year Thematic Unit to 5 people!!!
Click here to check it out now because the last day is Friday!

I have very big news to share! (and a giveaway!)

The past few months have been crazy for me! As many of you know, I've been searching for a classroom to call my own and now God has finally answered my prayers!

For my new job, I'll be working in an international school in CHINA!  Yes you heard me right, C-H-I-N-A!!!  I will be a Kindergarten teacher and all of my students are international expatriates.  What are expatriates you ask?  They are students who are not Chinese-born and live in China.  My students will be very diverse and come from all walks of life.  Some may be American, Japanese, Korean, French, South African (just to name a few).

So the next month will be hectic for me but I am excited to learn so much being a new teacher overseas.  Anyone else an overseas teacher blogger?  I am looking to connect with more teachers working in other countries, especially China!

To celebrate my new job I am going to give 5 people my Chinese New Year unit for FREE!!! I decided to choose five people because when you're in kindergarten you are typically 5 years old. To enter the small giveaway, comment below on what is your favorite grade to teach! Also don't forget to add your email!

I will choose the winners by next Friday June 28, 2013 at 10pm (EST).  I am actually at a new teacher training orientation right now and will be busy until then!  Good luck!

If you can't wait to get your hands on this awesome product and learn more about this awesome Chinese holiday, it is on sale 20% off on TN and TpT until Friday June 28 as well.

Update on my Common Core ELA Labels!

Am I just seeing things or did my Cheers To School Banner just disappear?!  I hope it will come back because it gave me a heart attack!  Anyone else having this problem today?  I'm a little worried...

Anyways I just wanted to let you know I have a new and updated version of my Common Core ELA Labels.  I was notified by a buyer that I made a tiny mistake on page 3 of this product.  For the ELA label K.RL.2, it says RETAIL familiar stories.  It should say RETELL.  So I fixed it and you can download the correct version or you can do what I did and use white-out to fix the spelling error since I already printed my labels out.

Click on either store to download the labels again or to save on those expensive labels, use white-out!
If you haven't checked out my kindergarten Common Core ELA and Math Labels, go download them now! THEY ARE FREE!

BTW, I've been receiving a lot of requests on doing more for other grades.  I decided to add the first grade Common Core labels to my summer to-do list. :)

Have a great Father's Day weekend and if you like, check out my cute and easy Father's Day craft post here.

Tired of Traveling and Bloglovin

The past week has been very busy me.  Right after the last day of school, I took a mini vacation to Washington, D.C. with the BF.
This is us by the US Capitol Building
While I was on the trip, I got a phone call from a potential employer to interview the day I was flying back home (Tuesday).  Wow, I was nervous on missing the interview because it was literally 2.5 hours after I flew in.  But I made it and the interview went really well.

Then on Wednesday was my district's first day of summer school.  Boy, was that a crazy and hectic morning!  It was great seeing all of my students again plus we had a new boy join our class.

And today I had to wake up at 3am to catch a 6:00 AM flight out to Atlanta for another interview.  This was actually the final interview for this school and I am hoping and praying for good news.  So after traveling all over the place, I am pooped!  I feel like I haven't slept in days.  At least I was having an adventure in some cool places I haven't been to for a long time.  I was so tired from my LONG interview (it was from 10:45am-4:30pm with an hour lunch), I washed my hair with body lotion instead of conditioner in the shower!  I definitely grabbed the wrong bottle and I guess I was sleep showering (is that a thing?).

On a completely different note, have you heard of Bloglovin?  I found out about this awesome site from Lindsay @ My Life as a Third Grade Teacher.  It's a great free website and app where you can read all of your favorite blogs you follow in one easy user-friendly site.  You should switch today (before you forget) and check it out since Google Reader will be no more in July!  Also, if you aren't following me yet, click on the right hand side so you can read my future posts on Bloglovin!

Well I better go to bed and catch up on some Zzz's.  And I will leave you with this cute video I found yesterday.

Can I Have 3 Cheers For My Blog Makeover?!

Hip Hip Hooray!  Hip Hip Hooray!  Hip Hip Hooray!

Do you like my new look?  I have been smiling non-stop since I got my brand new blog design installed from Honey Bunch Blog Designs.  I seriously feel like I just got a haircut and I can't stop looking in the mirror!  I'm so glad I made the executive decision to choose them in updating my blog look (they are worth the time and money!).  BTW, I almost researched for a year to decide who I wanted for my blog makeover.  My favorite element is my Melonheadz avatar with my signature.  She is so stinkin' cute to look at-- I used to be a ballerina/dancer before I decided to be a teacher.  Also, I love how all of the poms are incorporated in the design! Did you noticed the cute little Instagram button on the right?

I love love LOVE how HBBD can take your ideas and whip it into something great!  If you are looking for a blog makeover, big or small, go to the gals of HBBD.  They are fantastic! Right now they are having a 50% off sale of premade templates (what a steal)!  Go check it out before they are gone!

Nail Polish Gift Tags Freebie and Bloggy News

Today was the last day for Kindergarteners!!!  I can't believe the school year is over! Do you still have a couple more days left or are you done?  Technically, our last day in the district should have been Yesterday (Monday for Kinders) but we had 2 make up days-- 1 snow day, 1 flood day.

I wanted to so share with you what I gave my co-workers as an end of the year gift.  I wanted something small, cute, and easy to put together because I work with a big team!  In the classroom, I work in there are 8 adults total (1 special ed teacher, 5 aides-including me, OT, Speech, and adaptive PE teacher).

This is perfect for End of the year, teacher appreciation, or any special occasion.

There are two different sayings on the tags: "to a toe-tally awesome ________" and "to a toe-rific ______"

Click of the respective stores to download this freebie!!!
I hope your teachers, friends, and co-workers will enjoy this cute gift tag as my team did!  It's perfect for the summer weather!

On to my bloggy news, if you haven't noticed my blog looks kind of bare or I like to call "naked" because I'm getting a bloggy makeover through Honey Bunch Blog Design!  They are awesome to work with and are WORTH the money if you are thinking about getting a new blog design.  So please come back to my blog for my blog makeover debut!! :)

Have a great end of the school year/start of summer!!  Now I need to pack for my little vaca to Washington, DC before I start teaching summer school next week!
